Reported: Arishfa Khan Is the House's New Captain After the 2X Room Vote
REPORTED: Arishfa Khan has emerged as the new captain of the Bigg Boss 20 house, IndiaForums reported on 4 November 2026 at 17:05 IST, opening its report with the words 'as per reports'. Film Window reported the same development the same day, citing its own exclusive sources. Both outlets describe the same mechanism: a special captaincy task in the 2X Room, decided entirely by the housemates. This story labels the captaincy reported throughout, because neither outlet presents it as a maker announcement.

The captaincy story starts with the Sandese Aate Hai family-message task, already covered in VisitBest's morning story on the final tally. Every contestant received a special Diwali gift in the form of a family message and photograph, IndiaForums reports Bigg Boss announcing — except Arishfa. Mahhi Vij had chosen to break Arishfa's family message cassette and keep both of her lifelines, rather than play the message for her. Arishfa was left, in IndiaForums' words, without an opportunity to connect with her family through the task.

Kanika Mann, the house's captain going into this task, is among the housemates named by both outlets as choosing the 2 Door for Arishfa. That matters: the decision was not Bigg Boss imposing a captain, but the house voting one in — and the outgoing captain is reported to have voted for her successor. If the reported change lands, Kanika's captaincy ends here and Arishfa's begins.

Bigg Boss introduced the 2X Room to give Arishfa another opportunity, both outlets report. The contestants had to choose between two doors: the 2 Door meant support for Arishfa's captaincy, and the X Door meant they did not want her to become captain. Nine contestants are named by both outlets as choosing the 2 Door: Qazi Touqeer, Yung DSA, Gullu, Aamrapali Dubey, Kanika Mann, Love Gill, Mahhi Vij, Uditi Singh and Manish Goel. The IndiaForums live-feed discussion adds that Scout OP also backed her, which would make the support unanimous — that last detail rests on the live-feed thread alone and is labelled as such here.

For Arishfa, the reported turn is a sharp reversal inside a single task cycle. Days earlier she was the contestant who missed out on her family's message while others heard theirs; now, reports say, she is the housemate the others chose to lead them. Film Window calls it her moment of glory after missing out on the emotional opportunity; IndiaForums notes that, having finally secured the captaincy, how she manages the responsibilities and the house dynamics will now be watched closely.

A captain Arishfa would take charge of a house she has spent the week fighting in — including the Episode 59 kitchen row with Aamrapali Dubey, covered in VisitBest's companion story tonight. Captaincy brings duty rosters, discipline calls and the power to shape the week's mood, and Arishfa's tenure, if confirmed, would test whether the housemate who argued hardest can also keep the peace. No captaincy task result beyond the reported 2X Room vote is claimed here.

Two things are deliberately not claimed in this story. First, the captaincy itself: both reporting outlets frame it as reports, and no reputable Episode 60 recap had published by this run's 23:48 IST start, so VisitBest does not present it as maker-confirmed. Second, no eviction, nomination or finale-date claim is attached to it: the reported 20 December finale date remains maker-unconfirmed and is not used. If the aired recap contradicts the reported vote, this story will be corrected.

Nine named housemates through the 2 Door, a captain's chair waiting, and a week that began with a broken cassette ending, reportedly, with a crown. Whether the house's reported choice holds on air is the next check. VisitBest's poll on the show is an Open Poll for audience sentiment only, not an official vote.
