Heidi Klum, 53, has revealed her 2026 Halloween costume: a giant, severed replica of her own left hand. She arrived at her 25th annual Halloween party at Cathédrale Restaurant at Moxy East Village in New York on Saturday, 31 October 2026, in a look that left her almost unrecognisable.

Both photographs were visually verified in this run: the party backdrop reads “HEIDI KLUM HALLOWEEN”, and the green-stone ring, red nails and bloody wrist match the costume descriptions in the Associated Press, Page Six, USA Today and Times Now reports. Each photograph is used at its native width (788 and 787 pixels) and was never upscaled; page canvases place the costume in the upper portion of the frame with an empty navy band below, so the text panel sits only in that band and never touches the costume. Every page photograph shows Heidi Klum in the 2026 costume — the only subject of this story. No photograph of another person is used as a subject: a party-list photograph of a guest in an Avatar costume was checked and rejected as the wrong person, and a graphic close-up of the costume's face opening was not used.
Every fact below is reported by at least two of the outlets listed. Single-source details were left out, including the truck entrance, the syringe hydration moment and the “right hand” joke about her husband. No page is about Leni Klum, Tom Kaulitz or any other guest, so no photograph of them was needed.
The costume in detail
This was not just any hand. Klum set out to recreate her own left hand, down to its smallest details: long red nails, realistic veins and muscles, a bloody wrist, and her signature jewellery, including her engagement ring and wedding band.

Where is Heidi in there?
Klum's body sits inside the hand, with her legs forming two of the fingers. Only her eyes and mouth show through an opening at the centre of the hand, with her head positioned at its centre, as the Associated Press and Page Six describe it.

How it was made
Klum had the idea last year, telling reporters she looked at her hand and thought she could fit her body inside it somehow. Her team then worked on the costume for months, and getting into it on the night took about five to six hours, with many people helping her into it.

The team behind it
The costume was built with longtime collaborator and special-effects artist Mike Marino of ProRenFX, who has worked with Klum on her elaborate transformations for years. The team used her body as the model, so the hand carries her palm lines, veins, rings and even the tiny tattoo on her finger.

The entrance
Klum was flanked by helpers in blood-stained yellow hazmat suits as she arrived, a five-person entourage in keeping with the costume's gory, containment-scene staging. The suits completed a look designed to shock rather than glamourise.

Tom Kaulitz
Her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, did not attend this year because he was on tour. He still appears in the costume: the hand carries his name in a tattoo on its ring finger, along with her palm lines and veins, and her green-stone wedding ring.

The reveal and the legacy
Klum teased the look on Instagram for a week, sharing close-ups of prosthetics and warning it would be very, very bloody, before posting the reveal with the words “TALK TO THE HAND #HeidiHalloween 2026”. It follows her worm in 2022, peacock in 2023, E.T. in 2024 and Medusa in 2025 — and marks 25 years of the party. Tap below for more VisitBest web stories.
