Why she stayed quiet
Blair said she had been quiet for a couple of weeks since 11 October and that she was sorry it had taken so long to speak directly. Because a legal matter is ongoing, she said, her lawyers had asked her not to say anything about that day — and she is listening to them.

What she said

The allegations — as reported
Blair is accused of punching a flight attendant and biting another crew member during the flight, and of assaulting a nurse and a Port Authority police officer during her later transport, according to the criminal complaint as reported by PEOPLE and USA TODAY. These are allegations, not findings. On 12 October she appeared in Queens Criminal Court, pleaded not guilty to two counts of second-degree assault, and was released on bail.

Her team's position
Blair's representative said in a statement on 16 October that she had experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct, PEOPLE and USA TODAY reported. Her attorney, Shawn Barnes, told the court and news outlets that the conduct was not intentional, citing missed medication doses, long working hours and a fall in which she hit her head aboard the plane.

Health background
Blair announced in October 2018 that she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and she has since spoken publicly about living with the condition, USA TODAY reported. Her representative has also said she has pseudobulbar affect, a neurological condition secondary to her multiple sclerosis. Those health details are her team's account, not a court finding about the flight incident.

What happens next
In the video, Blair said she will now focus on taking care of her health and her son, Arthur Saint Bleick, and thanked supporters with gratitude and love. She also reassured followers that her service dog Scout, who was on the plane with her, is OK. The legal case remains ongoing; this story makes no claim about its outcome.
