Best Astrologers in Kerala: Vedic Jyotisham Practitioners in Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode & Palakkad

In this guide
At a glance
Kerala's astrology is a tradition of its own. The state's jyotisham grew up around temple towns and hereditary mana families, and its working tools differ from the standard North Indian reading: the jaathakam is read by birth star (kooru), marriage matching is porutham, auspicious timing is muhurtham, and prashnam, a horary method refined in Kerala texts, answers a specific question from the moment it is asked. A Kerala consultation may therefore feel different from a generic Vedic reading, and for Malayalam speakers it is usually conducted in Malayalam. This list is an editorial selection, not a ranking of ability and not a paid placement. We verified each entry's Kerala base before including it: six practices publish their own websites with a Kerala address or an explicitly Kerala practice, and the remaining seven are recorded with a Kerala address in published business or directory listings, which is stated in each profile. Experience figures and fees are given only where the practice's own website, or its own listing, states them, and they are attributed in the text. Photographs are sparse by design: we publish only a real photograph or official logo taken from the practice's own website, never stock zodiac artwork, so five profiles carry an image and the rest are text-only, as the image credits note explains. A note on responsible use: astrology is a belief-based service. No astrologer can guarantee an outcome, and a consultation should never replace medical, legal or financial advice. Agree the fee, the duration and what you will receive before the session, and be wary of anyone who uses fear, of doshas or planetary periods, to sell expensive remedies on the spot.

The brands in detail
Jayaram Sharma
Jayaram Sharma is a Vedic astrologer based in Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram), and his own website states that he has over 25 years of experience in Vedic astrology. The site offers astrology consultations covering horoscope reading, match-making and Vastu, with personalised remedies, and explains that he also serves as a Thanthri (temple priest) for temples across Kerala and Tamil Nadu, which places his practice inside Kerala's temple-centred jyotisham tradition rather than a call-centre model. Consultations are booked through his website, which publishes his phone numbers and his Trivandrum base. If you want a traditionally rooted practitioner in the capital who combines chart reading with temple ritual practice, his is one of the most fully documented profiles in this list. As with every entry here, confirm the current fee and session format directly before you book.

Sunitha Vishnupuram
Sunitha Vishnupuram is a Thiruvananthapuram-based Vedic astrologer who consults online and in person, in English and Malayalam. Her own website says she began studying astrology at the age of 18, completed an MBA and spent 13 years in the corporate sector in Kuwait before moving into astrology full time in 2024. Unusually for this list, her fees are published openly on her website: at the time of research, consultations including Prashnam, horoscope reading, relationship guidance, career and finance direction, muhurtha selection and gemstone advice were each listed at Rs 1,111, for sessions of 30 to 60 minutes by Google Meet, WhatsApp video, phone or in person. Her site also carries a library of written forecasts and learning articles, so you can read her approach before paying for a session.

Kanippayyur
Kanippayyur is a hereditary Kerala astrology family based at Kanippayyur Mana in Kunnamkulam, in Thrissur district, a name long associated with Vasthu and astrological publishing in the state. The family's own website, kanippayyur.in, gives its contact address as Kanippayyur Mana, Kanippayyur, Kunnamkulam, Kerala, and publishes long-form explainers on Kerala astrology, including how the birth-star (kooru) system differs from the Western zodiac and how a jaathakam is cast from date, time and place of birth. A published directory listing for Kanippayyur Mana names Narayanan Nambudiripadu as the practitioner at the same Kunnamkulam address. Choose this entry if you want the traditional mana-based route and a classical Kerala method; confirm appointment arrangements directly, as hereditary practices generally work to their own schedule.

RK Menon
RK Menon is a Kerala astrologer based in Palakkad who consults mainly online, in Malayalam, Hindi and English. His website gives a Palakkad address, on the first floor of MS Complex at Koottupaatha, and states that he has over two decades of experience. It describes a Kerala-centred method combining Vedic astrology with the KP and Bhava systems and Kavadi Prashnam, the traditional Kerala horary technique used when a question is urgent or birth details are uncertain. Services listed on his site include horoscope analysis, kundali matching for marriage, career and business consultations and gemstone advice, delivered by Zoom, WhatsApp or phone. He suits Malayalam-speaking clients in Kerala and in the diaspora who want a named individual practitioner rather than a platform. Confirm the fee and exactly what the session includes before you pay.

AstroVedic Vision & Research Academy
AstroVedic Vision & Research Academy Private Limited is an Ernakulam-based astrology academy and consultancy. Its own website prints its registered address as 3rd Floor, JC Chambers, Panampilly Nagar, Ernakulam, Kerala 682036, and says the company provides Vedic and astrological consultations and remedial measures to clients across the world. Alongside consultations, the academy runs structured Vedic astrology courses and scholars' conferences, with events listed in Ernakulam as well as Coimbatore and Chennai, so this is the entry to look at if you are interested in a teaching institution as much as a one-to-one reading. Because it is an academy with several teachers, ask who will actually conduct your consultation, how long it lasts and what it costs before committing; the site does not publish a single standard consultation fee. This profile is text-only: the logo file on the academy's site is clipped at publication size and its portrait graphic is a designed composite, so neither met our image standard.

Navagraha Jyothishalayam
Navagraha Jyothishalayam, which trades online as Navagraha Online, is a Kochi practice whose website names astrologer C.P. Unnikrishnan Thirumeni as its lead practitioner. The site presents the practice as a medical astrology specialist: health-focused horoscope evaluation is its headline service, alongside kundali matching, horoscope readings for finance and education questions, and gemologist services, with appointment booking handled through the website. One caution is essential: medical astrology is a traditional interpretive discipline, not a substitute for medical care, so treat any health-related reading as a belief-based perspective and always follow qualified medical advice. The practice publishes a photograph of its consultation office on its website, reproduced here. Prices are not stated openly on the site, so confirm the consultation fee and format when you book.

Brahma Jyothisha
Brahma Jyothisha is a Thiruvananthapuram practice recorded in published directory listings at BRAHMADHANAM, PRAG-15, Patayani Gardens, Vattiyoorkavu, Maruthankuzhi, Thiruvananthapuram 695013. The listing describes a Vedic astrology practice that also uses palmistry, applied to questions about career direction, relationship compatibility and the timing of major decisions. Vattiyoorkavu is a residential suburb east of the city centre, and practices of this kind are typically neighbourhood jyotishalayams serving repeat local clients rather than destination clinics. Brahma Jyothisha has no website that we could verify, so treat this as a walk-in or phone-first option: ring ahead to confirm that the astrologer is available, what a consultation costs and how long it lasts. This profile is text-only because no verified image of the practice could be obtained.

Attukal Jyothishalayam
Attukal Jyothishalayam is recorded in published directory listings at KRA 11, Vattiyoorkavu Puliyarakkonam Road, Maruthankuzhi, Thiruvananthapuram 695013, a residential area on the eastern side of the capital. The listing describes consultations in the Vedic tradition with palmistry used as a complementary method, covering career, relationships and the timing of decisions. As with several Thiruvananthapuram entries in this list, there is no practice website that we could verify; the listing is the public record, and it publishes a phone number for enquiries. Phone first to confirm the astrologer, the fee and the format, and take your birth date, time and place with you, as Kerala practitioners generally cast the jaathakam before discussing remedies. This profile is text-only because no verified image of the practice could be obtained.

Bhramasree Narayanaru Raghavaru Memorial Jyothishalayam
This Pattom jyotishalayam carries a memorial name: it is named for Bhramasree Narayanaru Raghavaru, and published directory listings record it at C.L.R.A 53, Mallasery Lane, off Pattom Thanupillai Road, Thiruvananthapuram 695009. Pattom is one of the capital's established central neighbourhoods, close to the Secretariat side of the city. The listing describes a Vedic astrology practice integrating palmistry, used for questions about life direction, career and relationships. Because the practice trades under a memorial name, the practical question to ask when you phone is who currently gives consultations there and what their background is; the listing publishes a phone number. Confirm the fee and session length on the same call. This profile is text-only because no verified image of the practice could be obtained, and the practice has no website that we could verify.

K Sukumaranashan Smaraka Jyothisha Mandhiram
K Sukumaranashan Smaraka Jyothisha Mandhiram is a Pachallor practice whose JustDial listing gives its address as 224, Anitha Bhavan, Pachallor, Thiruvananthapuram 695027, on the southern side of the capital. The listing's service catalogue includes kundali matching and Vastu consultation, together with astrology consultations for career, education and family questions, which makes it one of the more service-broad neighbourhood entries in this list. One warning: the prices shown on that platform page are generic indicative figures applied across many businesses, not this mandhiram's own published fees, so ignore them and ask the practice directly what a consultation costs. The practice has no website that we could verify. This profile is text-only because no verified image of the practice could be obtained.

Bhaskara Panicker
Bhaskara Panicker is a Kozhikode astrologer recorded in published directory listings at Panniyankara, Kozhikode 673003, in the southern part of the city. The listing describes a personal practice in the Vedic tradition with palmistry used alongside the birth chart, covering relationships, career transitions and decision timing, and it publishes a phone number for direct consultation enquiries. Kozhikode has a long tradition of independent jyotisham practitioners serving the Malabar coast, and this is a typical example: an individual astrologer rather than an institution. There is no practice website that we could verify, so your diligence is a short phone call: confirm the fee, how long the consultation lasts, and whether you should bring a written jaathakam or have one cast. This profile is text-only because no verified image of the practice could be obtained.

Sandesh Panicker
Sandesh Panicker is an astrologer recorded in published directory listings at First Floor, Parathayil Building, Orphanage Road, Mukkam, Kerala 673602. Mukkam is a town in Kozhikode district, inland from the city, so this entry serves readers in the district's eastern belt who would otherwise travel into Kozhikode city for a consultation. The listing describes Vedic astrology consultations with palmistry as a complementary method, aimed at questions of life direction, relationships and career. The listing publishes a phone number; use it to confirm consulting days and hours before travelling, as small-town practices often keep limited or appointment-only hours, and to agree the fee in advance. There is no practice website that we could verify. This profile is text-only because no verified image of the practice could be obtained.

K P Astrology
K P Astrology is a Kozhikode practice recorded in published directory listings at Thottathu, Kozhikode 673007, on the city's northern side. The listing describes personalised guidance in the Vedic tradition combined with palmistry, applied to career and relationship questions and to the timing of significant decisions, and it publishes a phone number for enquiries. Despite the initials in its name, its own listing describes Vedic astrology and palmistry rather than any single named system, so ask directly which method the astrologer will use for your question. As with the other Kozhikode entries, there is no practice website that we could verify; confirm the fee, the duration and what to bring on a short call first. This profile is text-only because no verified image of the practice could be obtained.
