It’s also a haven for many endangered species, including the Green Sea turtle and the Hawks. turtle, often seen basking on the black sand. Sightings of Spinner dolphins and humpback whales are also common along this stretch of shore. There are lots of cultural artifacts in the nearby park area, including petroglyphs and remnants of the ancient Ala Kahakai trail.
