Confirm the residential arrangement
Full, weekly and occasional boarding lead to different routines and costs. Ask which arrangement is available for the child’s age and whether accommodation remains open at weekends and during breaks. Confirm the boarding-house location, room arrangements and adult supervision. Day-school admission does not necessarily include a boarding place. The school should explain which services are included and which require a separate provider or fee.
Review care and safeguarding evidence
Parents need the current safeguarding policy, named reporting route and procedure for concerns outside office hours.
